What Wisa Showed Was A Dildo, Not His Real Penis - Lawyer

Lawyer for hiplife artiste, Wisa Greid, Jerry Agbenovor, has mounted a defence for his client, saying he only showed a dildo and not his genitals during a live performance at the Accra International Conference Center.

A dildo is an object having the shape and often the appearance of an erect penis, used in sexual stimulation. Wisa is facing prosecution for exposing his genitals on stage at Citi FM’s Christmas Eve concert, Decemba 2 Rememba concert on Thursday, December 24.

Social media platforms are awash with videos of Wisa stripping and rubbing his manhood behind his female dancer on stage. He appeared before an Accra Circuit Court today [Wednesday] after he was arrested, charged and admitted to bail .

Although Wisa has acknowledged his act and called it irresponsible in an apology statement, his Lawyer told journalists after today’s court appearance, that his client will only be proven guilty if it is established that what he showed to the live audience on that fateful day was his genitals.

“Do you know what a dildo is? So if you know what a dildo is and you know what you can get from different sex shops all over the world then you can understand where we are coming from basically. What you saw in there is a perception. He is dissatisfied with the perception that you have. What you saw, to you it’s a dick or it looks like a dick. Can you prove that it was a dick?,” he queried.

Hiplife / hiphop artiste, Edem has questioned why an association will intend sanctioning an artiste who is a non-member.

His comments came few hours after the director of the Hiplife and Hiphop for the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Edward Nana Poku Osei (Da Hammer) released a statement expressing disappointment in Wisa’s indecent exposure on the 2015 Decemba2Rememba stage and indicating that disciplinary proceedings will be instituted against the artiste.

I Was Close To Hell – Nollywood Actor Narrates Ordeal At Kidnappers’ Den

Nollywood actor, Prince Eke, has narrated his ordeal in the den of his abductors.

It would be recalled that the actor who was returning from a movie location in Asaba December 5, was kidnapped on the Owerri-Port Harcourt road and his abductors had reportedly demanded a ransom of N15 million or the actor would be buried alive.

Earlier this week, the actor and his wife, Nollywood actress, Muma G celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary and Prince Eke said he was exceptionally happy not only because of the anniversary but because he was released by his abductors who kidnapped him some days ago.
In a chat with The Punch after his release recently, the actor said he was grateful to God who saved him from the daredevil kidnappers.Meanwhile, after the news broke about his kidnap, some online commentators felt it was a publicity stunt. When asked, Prince Eke, said that he would never fake such an incident.

The actor said, “I do not blame people that said my kidnap was a publicity stunt. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I do not wish anyone to go through what I went through. We celebrities have many ways of being relevant but I cannot go through such length just to be in the news. Those that say that my kidnap was stage-managed, I leave them to their opinion. I thank my wife and my brothers and sister for their tremendous help that got me out.”

Narrating his ordeal, he said, “I was returning from Asaba where I went for a movie shoot and I was ambushed. Three guys just jumped out of the bush brandishing AK47 in their hands. They began to shoot sporadically and I tried to reverse but I saw two men with guns behind my car. From there, they took me into a forest at gun point. I never got out of that forest until the day I was released.

Pull Out 'Beasts of No Nation' From Ghana Movie Awards - Filmmaker

Cary Joji Fukunaga, award-winning filmmaker, has issued a statement requesting for his critically acclaimed war drama, ‘Beasts Of No Nation’ to be removed from the 2015 Ghana Movie Awards nominations announced on Friday afternoon in Accra, Ghana.
 

Beasts Of No Nation, starring Idris Elba received a total of 15 Ghana Movie Awards nominations including Best Picture, Best Editing, Music -Original Score, Best Directing, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, Actor and Best Screenplay. According to Fukunaga, his film is not a Ghanaian movie and he did not submit it to the Ghana Movie Awards jury; neither does he know how the jury got to see the movie. Parts of the statement reads: “While I am honoured by the numerous nominations from the Ghana Movie Awards jury, I must say ‘Beasts of No Nation’ is not for what the awards are intended for.

Nana Aba hit hard at Viasat1 in 2014 after the station released nominations for the maiden edition of the Jigwe Awards, where TV3 was nominated in the Copycat of the Year category. The presenter, who was then working at TV3, did not take the nomination lightly, and lambasted Viasat1 for coming up with the parody award. The category was eventually withdrawn from the awards, but it did not take the shine from the event.

The musician narrating how the accident happened revealed that his Range Rover’s bonnet caused the unfortunate scene.Speaking on the Despite Group of Company-owned radio station, Sidney said the bonnet, which was not well closed opened and hit the windscreen and that brought about the mishap.

I Once Abstained From Sex For Three Years - Musician

Multi award-winning singer and performer, Tiwa Savage, has opened up on her religious belief, marital stand, as well as how she preached and practiced abstinence from sex for three years.

The Mavin Records first lady also said she is ‘very spiritual’, affirming that she pays her tithes often as well as conversing with God.

She said, “I may not always get to kneel down and pray but at some point in the car or wherever I am, I would have a conversation with God; I am very spiritual. I do not joke with paying tithe or speaking with God. I owe everything to him and I guess a lot of people don’t see that side.

“I gave my life to God on July, 16 2002 and I went through a tough time following that,” she added Speaking further, the 35-year-old talked about the times she would get on a train and preach as well as practicing abstinence for three years.

“I had gone through a tough time trying to find myself. I went through heartbreak and I remember crying so much through that time. I felt lost and didn’t know where I needed to be in this world. I know this sounds cliché, but I was praying one day and I literally felt the presence of God in the room with me.

“And, you know when you first give your life to Christ, you are a radical. So, then, I would preach to strangers on the train and say Jesus sent me to you.

“Sometimes I would give my entire one month paycheck to the church; they asked for only 10%, but I would give the entire 100%. People scoffed and said “she is new in the faith, just give her another year”.

“And for three years, I was not intimate with a man. I didn’t kiss or have sex. Every time I hugged a man it would be from the side. A lot of people can relate to that because it has happened to a lot of us but the key is to be consistent,” the mother of one added.

Tiwa also stated that even if she wasn’t a Christian she still wouldn’t have lived a promiscuous life owing to her nature.

“Even if I was not a Christian, I was never that type of girl. I was a tomboy. My mum used to think I would be gay. I am the only girl among four siblings so I used to wear trousers to feel like I was part of the boys. I never waxed my eyebrows and I hated high heels, which I still hate till today.

“I was never into boys, which is probably why my husband has full confidence that the big men flashing money in my face won’t faze me,” the ‘Eminado’ crooner quipped.

CONFIRMED: Nana Aba Anamoah Joins GH One TV

Outspoken legal practitioner Dr Maurice Ampaw, is up in arms with Asamoah Gyan, captain of the Ghana national team, over an allegation of rape.According to him, Asamoah Gyan ‘pounced’ on Sarah Kwablah, 21, one of the four persons being tried for allegedly extorting GH¢25,000 from one Sam Anim Addo by means of threat.

Dr Ampaw, who was cross-examining Anim, manager of Asamoah Gyan, said the latter forcefully had carnal knowledge of Sarah when he (Asamoah) had not proposed love to her.

Sarah and two others – Osafo Anthony, 29, journalist and Chris Handler, a blogger – have been variously charged for conspiring to extort money from Anim while popular reggae musician, Lester Ekow Micah, 43, has been slapped with the charge of abetment.

Hearing of the case was continued on Monday in a court presided over by Ms Afia Agbanu Kumador.

Dr Ampaw, counsel for Sarah as well as the other accused persons, also accused Asamoah Gyan of having anal sex with Sarah.
