Lil Win Explains Why He Boycotted Kumawood Awards

Kumawood Most Favorite Icon, Kwadwo Nkansah commonly known as Lil Win has unleashed his anger on Organizers of Kumawood and AKoben Film Festival Awards.He descended heavily on the CEO Samuel Darko for showing gross disrespectfulness to artists whom he uses to market his awards.
The Kumawood poster disclosed that the CEO of KAFF Awards Samuel Darko has consistently demonstrate that he doesn’t respect artists.Nkansah Liwin says KAFF Awards is based on personal interest of the organizers.
‘’The reasons why I didn’t show up at this year KAFF Awards ground was that the CEO after the ‘’demo vigil ‘’ in Kumasi last year insulted actors and actresses who failed to join the demonstration that very day, so I don’t see the reason why I should waste my time and attend a program whose organizer doesn’t respect me’’ he stressed

Amakye Dede Terrified After Accident
Legendary Highlife Musician Daniel Amakye Dede who survived a fatal accident at Bunsu Junction early this year, says the accident left him terrified.
Amakye is lucky to be alive after he was involved in an accident that claimed the life of his manager.
The artiste who lost his manager and bosom friend, Isaac Yeboah in the accident disclosed he is uncertain his career will ever be the same without his late manager, adding that his manager diligently secured all his bookings, hence finding another in his stead would be almost impossible.
“….Somebody called that he wants me to come and play a programme for him, I couldn’t even talk to him because... it was my manager who was charging everything. Now I’m thinking, how can I charge somebody for a programme? I don’t think I can get somebody like Isaac Yeboah…. If I continue to talk about Isaac I can't stop my tears”.
Amakye Dede says he is in good shape but is yet to recuperate totally. Speaking on the toll the accident has had on him on Hitz@1, Mr Serious who now employs the mantra ‘Yesu Nti’ literally meaning ‘By God’s grace’ described how the sight of a vehicle’s lights brought memories of the fateful accident.
“I quite remember when they took me to Korle bu Hospital. Five days (after my admission) I decided to walk around because sleeping on Hospital bed for all this while, I was becoming so weak so I decided to (take) a walk around five O’clock then I saw a car coming, immediately I saw the (Vehicle’s) light, I (began) to run because I was shocked, and I shouted 'Oh this man has killed me' so my first time of seeing a light of a car after the accident I run but I know ‘Yesu Nti’ I will still continue my life”.

The BET award winner had to walk off the stage in the course of his thrilling and rocking the crowd to the best of tunes. While performing his hit single, ‘Go higher’ a guy from the crowd just jumped onto the stage, and started mimicking the way Stonebwoy walks in the full glare of patrons.
Eventually, Stonebwoy angrily walked off the stage and threw the Microphone in the crowd.

In a post on Instagram, Caroline advised her to grow up and stop behaving like a child. About a year ago, Akoo Nana’s performance at Tigo Unplugged Concert became the talk of town as he brought bare-chested ladies in masks on stage to dance for him.
He came out to defend the act saying he was embarking on a breast cancer campaign hence his act was completely planned to educate the over twenty thousand patrons of the event on breast cancer and its effects.The Confirm singer in an interview with Livefmghana.com says he does not regret bringing those girls and will never regret.
“I don’t regret bringing those girls on stage, I mean it was an art moreover I was preaching a message which I think was misunderstood on stage,” he said.

Charter-House Should Not Nominate Shatta Wale
Popular entertainment-political host, Kwasi Aboagye, , have strongly added his voice to the huge debate in the entertainment industry - whether or not the board of Ghana Music Award should nominate Shatta Wale for this year’s edition of the award scheme.
According to the Peace FM Entertainment Review host, what he has realized over the years is that Shatta wale is not consistent. One moment he says one thing, the next moment he says otherwise – contracting what he said earlier.
“I love him. I love his personality and how he carries himself. But I think organizers of Vodafone Ghana Music Award should turn him down. They shouldn’t give him nomination. I think in recent times he’s one of the generations that has been smart in terms of showbiz and I like him for that but on one principle - he’s not consistent” Kwasi Aboagye opined.Speaking On Peace fm Entertainment Review He added that if Shatta Wale can come out clear without hiding behind his fans that will make his case a better one for anyone to go to his defense.

Controversial filmmaker, Socrates Safo has indicated that if he were the manager of Shatta Wale, he would beat the artiste every day.According to the “Hot Fork” producer, the actions of Shatta Wale would have made him carry out that act.
“I’m not an artiste manager. I can’t be an artiste manager because if I were managing Shatta Wale, I would beat him every day. There are so many things he would do that I wouldn’t subscribe to. Highlife music legend, Amakye Dede, who was involved in a fatal road accident, last Saturday at the Bunso Junction near Nsutam in the Eastern Region, has warned event organisers to avoid holding any thanksgiving event on his behalf.
Amakye Dede, currently at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital receiving treatment, told BEATWAVESthat he has been informed that a group of persons are working behind closed door to organise a thank you concert on his behalf without his knowledge.
The highlife music legend escaped death on Saturday morning when a car he was in with his bodyguard and manager was involved in a fatal accident that killed his manager, Isaac Yeboah, the managing editor of the P&P on the spot.

Charterhouse has rolled out plans for the 2016 edition of the annual Ghana Music Awards (GMA), with a call for entries for all works produced within the calendar year to be considered.
The award scheme seeks to recognise songs that have kept the country dancing as well as award artistes, producers, recording labels and other industry professionals whose tireless efforts in the face of adverse financial and logistical challenges have kept the entertainment industry vibrant.
This year, the awards planning committee and the organisers plan to institute measures to continue to uplift the image of the prestigious award scheme.
According to the organisers, nominations for this year’s awards slated for May are opened for considerations, adding that all interested stakeholders are encouraged to pick nomination forms from the offices of Charterhouse Productions, selected radio and TV stations or download from www.ghanamusicawards.com.

Newest gospel music sensation, Florence Narh has reiterated candidly that, prosecuting Wisa Greid of “Ekiki mi” fame could be the best option to help curb indiscipline.Wisa, during his shambolic performance at this year’s City FM’s ‘December 2 Remember’ event on Christmas Eve, pulled out his raw manhood on stage.
The Ghana police service, however, said he has violated the criminal code on conduct and have charged Wisa with indecent exposure and sexual assault.Wisa, pleaded not guilty to charges of ‘gross indecency’ when he appeared before an Accra Circuit Court.
