I Did Not insult Rawlings – Prophet Kumchacha

Kumchacha
The Head Pastor of heaven Gate Ministry International, Prophet Osei Popularly known as Kumchacha has denied ever saying “God will judge” former President Jerry Rawlings for questioning the genuineness of his spiritual works and miracles.

The man of God who is well known as one of powerful prophets in the country today in an exclusive interview with The Clock newspaper said “Rawlings is like a father to me and I like him so much. I did not insult him and have never pronounced God’s judgment on him for questioning my spiritual powers which was given to me by God.”

The soft spoken man of God who was calm during the interview said “I respect Rawlings and the comments he made about me, to me that is his opinion and I don’t think he has offended me in any way. I am not disturbed at all.”

According to prophet Kumchacha because of his good deeds his followers as well as Ghanaians like him and his preaching, adding that he would not allow comments and opinions from certain people disturb him.

Sounding biblical Prophet Kumchacha quoted Luke 6:26 to express his view to Mr. Rawlings that, it will be wrong if the other men of God are not criticized.

“Woe unto you when all men shall speak well of you…for so did their fathers to the false prophets,” he said.

During the interview, Prophet Nicholas Osei insisted that he is a genuine man of God who has worked tirelessly to build an image for himself as well educating the people about the teachings of Jesus Christ and his second coming.

“I have served the Lord for so many years and no one has ever had any claims against me. I believe in this work, we will face challenges …even Jesus Christ faced challenges so I am not worried about Rawlings claims.” He said.

Kumchacha who stressed that former president Rawlings is his father and a former president, says “I will be very glad to have him as a family member. I really respect him. He has expressed his opinion and he is entitled to that.”

Rawlings, a few days ago addressing a durber of chiefs and people of the Avatime Traditional area at Avatime Gbadzeme in the Volta region criticized some of the miraculous claims made by Kumchacha and Bishop Daniel Obinim.

According to him, the two preachers are misusing the name of God and exploiting the ignorance of their followers, adding that some of the claims often made by Obinim and Kumchacha on TV are not real.

He therefore, asked managers of TV stations and the media to stop giving airtime to Kumchacha, Founder and Leader of the Heaven Gate Ministry International; and Obinim, Founder of the International God’s Way Church, to deceive the public.

“Many too often as we watch our TVs, I don’t think we are putting enough efforts into showcasing some of these cultural traditional festivals, the activities that are going on around the countryside and yet so much time is spent giving airtime, precious airtime to people like these two prophets I’ve been talking about of late: the one in Tema, called Obinim and the other one called Kumchacha,” Rawlings lamented.

According to Rawlings, “The misuse of God’s name is the worst form of corruption that we can talk about …and we are paying the serious price for it, and we will continue to do so till we wake to the reality of what is scientifically possible, plausible and doable.”
