The Eastern Region of Ghana looks to be the new stage for the next bout between Ayitey Powers and Bukom Banku. This info was relayed to the media when the two controvercial boxers went on a tour of selected towns in the Eastern Region. The tour started from Suhum and ended in the the regional capital Koforidua.
JOY Industries speaking to the Daily Guide Akwadum office said, they are keen on organising the next bout between the two champs. The CEO, Dr Manfred Takyi, is of the notion that, Koforidua links the north and southern part of Ghana and holding the event there will bring in the numbers needed. He said this when the two boxers were paraded alongside Koo Fori, Manfred Takyi and Harrison.
Powers said he was going to bring in full force for the next bout but added, he suffered defeat at Banku’s hands because he had a left wrist injury which he was nursing.
Banku however said he is going to repeat what he did, and in better fashion.
