Bulldog Trial Adjourned.

The trial of Lawrence Nana Asiama Hanson at an Accra Central Magistrate Court in connection with the murder of Fennec Okyere, manager of Kwaw Kese, who is popularly called Abodam, could not continue yesterday.
This was after the prosecuting officer in the case informed the court, presided over by Mavis Quainoo that the investigator was handling another murder trial and could, therefore, not make it to court.
According to him, the investigator would need at least a month to conclude his investigations.
He consequently prayed the court to adjourn the case for a month to enable the investigator prepare adequately.
The trial judge consequently adjourned the case to August 17, 2014.
The accused person was in court with his legal team, family and friends.

Lawrence Nana Asiama Hanson, aka Bulldog manager of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, has been accused of murdering Fennec Okeyre.
Bulldog, 36, who also doubles as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bull Haus Entertainment, was picked up by the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recently in Kokomlemle, a suburb of Accra, as a prime suspect in Okyere’s death.
Bulldog has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
It would be recalled that last month; the court rejected a request from the prosecution for the accused person to provide a password to his mobile phone.
The trial judge rejected the request because the prosecution had not given any tangible reason to use a password.
Gary Nimako, counsel for Bulldog, opposed the move by the prosecution, insisting that the behaviour of prosecution was akin to embarking on a “fishing expedition.”
He said his client’s phone has not been mentioned in the matter before the court describing the attitude of the prosecutor as “witch hunting” rather than proper trial.
Counsel Nimako had argued that the charges leveled against his client could not hold because the prosecution had failed to link his client to Fennec’s murder.
An Accra High Court granted bail to Bulldog on May 27.
