Hiplife musician William Ankrah, known on stage as Akoo Nana had
released a music video believed to be Castro’s last music video before
he went missing at Ada.
The video titled ‘Mi Yadaw’ is by Akoo Nana and features Castro, known in real life as Theophilus Tagoe.
Rescue operations started on Sunday, July 6, 2014 for Castro, born
Theophilus Tagoe, and his female companion, Janet Bandu, who went
missing earlier during jet skiing in the waters of Ada.
Castro and Asamoah Gyan were at the Peace Holiday Resort, a beach
resort in Ada, together with some friends, for recreation when the
unfortunate incident occurred.
The Marine Division of the Ghana Police Service, after several days of
searching, said hopes of finding Castro and Janet alive, seemed to have
gone missing.
Akoo Nana is releasing the video after he had claimed in an interview
with Myjoyonline.com that Castro is in captivity and does not believe he
is dead.
“I think Castro is not dead..., I think he has been kidnapped; not
spiritually kidnaped but physically kidnapped, and the leader realised
it is him, and they are scared to bring him out because they know if
they bring him out they know they will be in trouble, but I know Castro
is going to come back to us,” the ‘Kachina’ hit singer alleged.
The video, directed by XBills was under 4. E. R. Records label was shot
in June on locations at Aqua Safari, Ada, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel,
and Akoo Nana’s residence at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
